Yoga That
Earns Its Spot

This is not your typical yoga class.

Heather (RYT-200) teaches strength-focused vinyasa yoga designed to build mobility, stability, and real, usable strength. Classes move at a slower, more intentional pace while keeping you challenged - helping students develop control, improve balance, and move better both on and off of the mat.

Each class blends:

  • Strength and mobility work
  • Core and stability training
  • Balance and coordination
  • Breath-driven movement

Open to all levels, with options and progressions offered throughout. Ideal for anyone looking to feel stronger, move better, and becoming more resilient - both physically and mentally.

Who It's For
  • Lifters and athletes who feel tight, stiff, or imbalanced
  • People curious about yoga but skeptical of the woo
  • First-timers who want a class where modifications are normal
  • Members layering mobility and recovery onto their training
  • Anyone rebuilding after an injury and wanting to do it right
  • Folks who've tried yoga and didn't feel challenged enough
What To Expect
01
Settle In
Mat down, water close, shoes off. Heather sets the tone for the hour and gives a short framing for the day.
02
Warm Up & Mobilize
Joint articulations, gentle openers, breath work. Nothing rushed — we earn the harder stuff later.
03
Strength Vinyasa
Flow with intent. Holds are longer than you'd expect. Transitions ask more than they look like they will.
04
Core & Balance
Ground work, stability holds, single-leg patterns. The part that humbles everyone, including the lifters.
05
Wind Down
Targeted stretching, slow breath, savasana. You leave looser, taller, and a little tired.

I had a wonderful experience at the yoga class. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by both the instructor and the gym owners, which immediately created a comfortable and encouraging environment. The class itself was well-paced and supportive. The instructor did an excellent job guiding us through each pose while encouraging everyone to work at their own level. I never felt pressured—just motivated to do my best, which made the entire experience both enjoyable and empowering. Overall, it was a positive and uplifting class, and I’m really glad I attended. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and supportive place to practice yoga.

Two Wednesdays a month is the perfect dose. My hips and shoulders thank me, and I feel more solid in my lifts the next day. It's recovery work that actually feels like training.

FAQ

Don't see your question here? Reach out — we're happy to talk you through what to expect.

I've never done yoga before — is this class for me?
Yes. Heather walks the room through every modification, and the class is paced so you can take it at your level. There are first-timers in nearly every session.
Is it actually hard?
Harder than it looks. The pace is slow but the holds and transitions ask a lot. Most people feel it the next day — in a good way.
How is this different from a regular yoga class?
The emphasis. Heather builds the class around strength, mobility, and stability rather than spiritual practice or a sweaty cardio flow. You'll do recognizable yoga shapes, but the work is about building real, usable capacity.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and water. We have plenty of mats, blocks, and props available. Bring your own gear if you prefer it.
What should I wear?
Whatever you'd normally train in — leggings, shorts, a t-shirt. Yoga is barefoot, so leave the shoes at the door.
How often does the class meet?
Second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Twice a month gives the class room to settle into your routine without crowding it.
Is it included in my membership?
Yes — unlimited memberships include all yoga classes. We also offer a punch card if you'd rather drop in occasionally.
How do I reserve a spot?
Sign up through our class schedule. We cap each session at 24, so reserve early.
